Kriib Terms of Use
Section 22 of these Terms contains an arbitration agreement and class action waiver that apply to all claims brought against Kriib in the United States. Please read them carefully.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding legal agreement between you and Kriib that govern the right to use the websites, applications, and other offerings from Kriib (collectively, the "Kriib Platform"). When used in these Terms, "Kriib," "we," "us," or "our" refers to the Kriib entity with whom you are contracting.
The Kriib Platform enables users ("Members") to publish, offer, search for, and book services. Members who offer services are "Cleaners" and Members who book or use services are "Customers." Cleaners receive and voluntarily accept residential and commercial cleanings ("Cleanings") and any cleaning service request made by Customers (collectively, "Cleaning Services", and each Cleaning Service request, a "Cleaning Request"). As the provider of the Kriib Platform, Kriib does not own, control, offer or manage any Cleaning Requests. Kriib is not a party to the contracts entered into directly between Cleaners and Customers, nor is Kriib a broker or cleaning agency. Kriib is not acting as an agent in any capacity for any Member, except that Kriib may act as a limited payment collection agent for Cleaners solely for the purpose of accepting payments from Customers on behalf of Cleaners as described in these Terms. We maintain other terms and policies that supplement these Terms like our Privacy Policy, which describes our collection and use of personal data.
Customer Terms
1. Booking on Kriib
1.1 Set Up
When using Kriib to arrange cleaning services, you begin by setting up your property details through the app. Customers create an account using a first and last name, phone number and email. Customers may choose to enter their property address, and select from available cleaning packages (e.g., Standard, Deep, or Custom). Customers may then choose individual services (e.g., vacuuming, mopping, dusting), set the frequency of the cleaning (once, weekly, monthly), and pick an available date and time. Customers must add a building access method ("Building Access Configuration") that specifies how a Cleaner is authorized to access the property at the scheduled time of service. Before confirming, customers review their selected services, quoted price range (minimum, estimated, and maximum), and payment method. By confirming the request, the Customer authorizes the posting of the cleaning request on the Kriib Platform. Cleaners registered on the Kriib Platform independently review available cleaning requests and may choose, at their discretion, to accept a requested cleaning. A binding contract for cleaning services is formed directly between the Customer and the Cleaner only when a Cleaner accepts the request. Kriib does not assign Cleaners, does not perform cleaning services, and is not a party to the service agreement between Customers and Cleaners. Customers with active subscriptions may manage future cleanings through the app, including pausing, skipping, modifying, or canceling scheduled services, subject to the cancellation and modification terms set forth in these Terms.
1.2 Booking
When booking a cleaning through the Kriib Platform, you agree to pay all charges disclosed at checkout, including the cleaning cost, applicable fees, and taxes (the "Total Price"). At checkout, you will be shown a price range consisting of a minimum, estimated, and maximum price. By confirming your booking, you authorize Kriib to charge the final Total Price after the cleaning is completed. The final charge will always fall within the quoted price range.
Your booking request is posted to the Kriib Platform for independent Cleaners to review. A binding contract for cleaning services (a "Reservation") is formed directly between you and a Cleaner only when a Cleaner accepts the booking. Kriib does not assign Cleaners and is not a party to the service contract. Cleaner payout amounts may vary based on marketplace factors, but these variations do not affect the price you pay, which will never exceed the maximum price shown at checkout.
1.3 Cleaning Service Reservations
A Cleaning Service Reservation represents an accepted booking and the binding contract for cleaning services for the designated property as described in your booking. You must ensure that the cleaning areas are accessible and safe for the Cleaner. Examples include restraining pets, clearing pathways, and removing fragile items. The Cleaner retains the right to access the property during the agreed-upon cleaning schedule to perform the services, solely in accordance with the Building Access Configuration, the service contract, and applicable law. If you request changes to the reservation or extend the cleaning time beyond the agreed schedule, the Cleaner may impose additional fees. If the property is inaccessible at the agreed cleaning time, the Cleaner may cancel the booking or charge a fee.
1.4 Additional and Specialized Cleaning Services
A reservation for additional or specialized cleaning services entitles you to arrange for those specific services as detailed during the booking process. Additional or specialized cleaning services may include, but are not limited to, deep cleaning, stain removal, or specific furniture care. Unless explicitly stated in your booking, only the selected services will be performed. Any additional requests may require a new booking or a modification of the existing Reservation. Service providers are not obligated to perform services outside the specified Reservation.
1.5 Before and After Photo Acknowledgment
You acknowledge and agree that Cleaners are required to upload before-and-after photographs of cleaning areas as part of service verification, quality assurance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. By booking a cleaning through the Kriib Platform, you authorize the Cleaner to capture photographs of the areas included in your Reservation for these limited purposes.
You agree that:
- Photos will be limited to the cleaning areas included in your Reservation
- Photos will not be intentionally used for marketing or public display without your explicit consent
- Kriib may access and review such photos for operational, quality control, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes
If you do not consent to required before-and-after documentation, you may not use the Kriib Platform to book cleaning services.
2. Cancellations, Reservation Issues, Refunds, and Modifications
2.1 Cancellations, Reservation Disputes, and Refunds
Charges paid by you are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise determined by Kriib. If you wish to request a cancellation, refund, or correction to a Charge, you must contact Kriib support at [email protected] within 30 days of the Charge. Beyond this period, Kriib will not process such requests, and you waive the right to dispute the Charge.
If you cancel a Reservation, a refund may be issued in accordance with Kriib's standardized cancellation and refund policy. Partial or full refunds are determined based on the timing of your cancellation and other applicable factors outlined in the policy.
If you wish to appeal a refund decision, you may contact Kriib customer support and provide supporting evidence within 14 days of receiving the decision. Appeals submitted after this timeframe will not be considered.
2.2 Reservation Modifications
Customers and Cleaners are responsible for any modifications to a booking ("Reservation Modifications") that they agree to via the Kriib Platform or through Kriib customer support. Modifications may include adding or removing services, rescheduling, or updating special instructions. Any additional amounts, fees, or taxes resulting from a Reservation Modification must be agreed upon by both parties and will be included in the updated total cost of the Reservation.
3. Customer Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk
3.1 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible and liable for your own acts and omissions and are also responsible for the acts and omissions of anyone you invite or provide access to your property during a cleaning service. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) you are responsible for ensuring the cleaning areas are accessible and safe, (ii) you are responsible for paying all reasonable Damage Claim amounts resulting from negligence or misconduct, and (iii) you must act with integrity, treat cleaners with respect, and comply with applicable laws at all times. If you allow minors to be present during the service, you must be legally authorized to act on their behalf and are solely responsible for their supervision.
3.2 Your Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that cleaning services carry inherent risks and agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you assume all risks arising out of your use of the Kriib Platform and associated services. This includes any potential damage to property, minor accidents, or miscommunications that may occur during the cleaning process. It is your responsibility to ensure the cleaning service is suitable for your needs and to communicate any specific requirements or concerns to the Cleaner. By choosing to use Kriib services, you freely and willfully assume these risks.
Cleaner Terms
4. Providing Service on Kriib
4.1 Providing Service on Kriib
As a Cleaner, Kriib offers you the opportunity to use the Platform to connect with Customers seeking cleaning services and earn income. You are in control of your availability, the services you decide to perform, and the pricing you decide to claim. By accepting a booking through Kriib, you agree to provide services in accordance with these Terms and any additional agreements made with the Customer during the booking process.
4.2 Contracting with Customers
When you accept a booking request, you are entering into a direct contract with the Customer and are responsible for delivering the service at the agreed date, time, and price. You agree to pay applicable platform fees, which will be deducted from your payout unless otherwise specified. Any additional terms you wish to impose must: (i) align with these Terms and Kriib's policies, and (ii) be clearly communicated and agreed upon during the booking process.
4.3 Independence of Cleaners
Your relationship with Kriib is that of an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, joint venturer, or partner of Kriib.
Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and Kriib.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You control the manner and means by which you perform services
- You set your own schedule and decide whether to accept or reject bookings
- You provide your own tools, supplies, transportation, and equipment
- You are free to provide services to other individuals or companies, including competitors of Kriib
- You are not required to use the Kriib Platform exclusively
- You are not entitled to wages, salary, overtime, benefits, workers' compensation, unemployment insurance, health insurance, retirement benefits, or paid leave from Kriib
- Kriib does not supervise or control how you perform cleaning services
You do not have authority to bind Kriib to any contract, representation, or obligation.
Kriib acts solely as a limited payment collection agent for the purpose of accepting payments from Customers on your behalf.
All payment processing services are provided by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe") and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement.
5. Managing Your Cleanings
5.1 Creating and Managing Your Cleanings
The Kriib Platform provides tools to help you create and manage your Cleaner profile, including availability, services, and pricing. You must provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information at all times. You are solely responsible for your acts and omissions in connection with your services. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage for your services, including general liability insurance where applicable. Kriib does not provide insurance coverage for Cleaners.
5.2 Compliance with Legal Obligations
As a Cleaner, you are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all laws, regulations, and contractual obligations that apply to your services. This may include business licensing requirements, tax registration and obligations, health and safety standards, labor and employment regulations, and data protection obligations. It is your responsibility to determine whether any permits, insurance, or registrations are required to provide cleaning services in your area. You should independently verify your obligations and seek professional advice where necessary. You are also responsible for handling and protecting Customer personal data in compliance with applicable privacy laws and Kriib's Privacy Policy. Kriib does not provide legal, tax, or regulatory advice.
5.3 Job Visibility
The visibility of cleaning jobs on the Kriib Platform depends on factors determined by Kriib, including but not limited to: job location, timing, demand, Cleaner availability, service type, and compliance with Kriib's standards. Cleaners may see different payout amounts for the same job depending on when the job is accepted. Kriib may also, at its discretion, offer optional paid promotional tools or features that influence how jobs are displayed to Cleaners.
5.4 Your Responsibilities
You are responsible and liable for your own acts and omissions, and for the acts of anyone you engage to assist in delivering services. By claiming a cleaning job through the Kriib Platform, you agree to perform the services listed in the job request in a professional, safe, and lawful manner. All payments must be processed through the Kriib Platform. You may not solicit or collect payments outside the Platform. You may not encourage Customers to move bookings off the Platform, exchange personal contact information for the purpose of bypassing the Platform, or otherwise take actions that circumvent Kriib's payment or scheduling systems. Violation may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.
5.5 Service Documentation Requirements
As part of providing services through the Kriib Platform, you are required to upload before-and-after photographs of the areas included in the Reservation.
You agree that:
- Photos must be limited to the cleaning areas covered by the Reservation
- Photos must not intentionally capture sensitive personal information, valuables, or unrelated areas of the property
- Photos may be used by Kriib for service verification, quality assurance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution
- Photos may not be used for marketing or public display without the explicit consent of the Customer
Failure to comply with required documentation standards may result in delayed payouts, refund determinations, or account suspension.
5.6 Performing Services as a Team or Organization
If you provide cleaning services as part of a team, business, or organization, you are responsible and liable for the acts and omissions of all individuals or entities involved in delivering the services. You must ensure that all team members understand and comply with these Terms and any applicable laws. By accepting jobs or entering into agreements on behalf of your team or organization, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so and that the entity is duly formed and in good standing under applicable law. You are solely responsible for distributing payouts to team members and for ensuring compliance with all tax, legal, and contractual obligations applicable to your team or organization.
5.7 Your Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that providing cleaning services carries inherent risks, and you assume all risks arising out of your access to and use of the Kriib Platform, including interactions with Customers or other Members. Such risks may include, without limitation, property damage, accidents, injuries, illnesses, miscommunications, or disputes. You represent that you have independently evaluated the risks of providing cleaning services and the legal obligations that may apply to you, and you agree that you are not relying on Kriib for legal, regulatory, or compliance advice.
6. Cancellations, Reservation Issues, and Modifications
6.1 Handling Cancellations
Cancellations and your payout are governed by Kriib's cancellation and refund policy.
You should not cancel a Reservation without a legitimate reason, such as safety concerns, inability to access the property, material undisclosed changes in scope, emergencies beyond your reasonable control, or other circumstances beyond your reasonable control. If you cancel without a legitimate reason, Kriib may take action on your account in accordance with these Terms.
If a customer refund or credit is issued due to a Reservation Issue, you authorize Kriib (via Stripe) to reduce or recover your payout, including by deducting amounts from future payouts if necessary.
Kriib may delay releasing your payout while a refund or dispute review is pending.
6.2 Booking Modifications
Cleaners and customers are responsible for any booking modifications they agree to via the Kriib Platform or through Kriib customer support. Any additional amounts, fees, or taxes resulting from a booking modification must be agreed upon by both parties and will be reflected in the updated total cost of the reservation.
7. Taxes and Financial Compliance
7.1 Income Taxes
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all federal, state, and local income taxes, self-employment taxes, and other applicable taxes arising from your earnings.
Kriib does not withhold income taxes from your payouts.
7.2 Sales Tax
Where required by law, Kriib may calculate, collect, and remit applicable sales tax on transactions processed through the Platform.
You authorize Kriib to collect and remit such sales tax on your behalf where required by applicable law.
If Kriib is not legally required to collect and remit sales tax in a particular jurisdiction, you remain responsible for determining and satisfying any applicable tax obligations.
7.3 Tax Reporting and Documentation
All payments to Cleaners are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe may issue IRS Form 1099-K or other required tax reporting forms in accordance with applicable law and reporting thresholds. Kriib does not issue Form 1099-NEC for payments processed through Stripe.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate tax information to Stripe (including IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN, as applicable)
- Ensuring that your tax information remains current
- Reviewing your own earnings and reporting them accurately
If you fail to provide required tax documentation to Stripe, payouts may be delayed, restricted, or subject to backup withholding in accordance with applicable law.
Kriib may provide an earnings summary for convenience, but official tax documents are issued by Stripe.
General Terms
8. Ratings
After each cleaning service, Customers and Cleaners will have an opportunity to review each other. Your review must be accurate and must not contain any discriminatory, offensive, defamatory, or other language that violates these Terms, and applicable law. Reviews are not verified by Kriib for accuracy and may be incorrect or misleading.
9. User Generated Content
Parts of the Kriib Platform allow Members to submit reviews, feedback, text, photos, videos, and other materials ("Content"). By submitting Content, you grant Kriib a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, store, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, supporting, and promoting the Kriib Platform.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own the Content you submit or have the necessary rights and permissions to grant the license described above
- Your Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party
- Your Content does not contain confidential information of another person or entity without authorization
- You are solely responsible for the Content you provide
- Cleaners are required to upload before-and-after photos of cleaning areas in connection with completed services. These images are used for service verification, quality assurance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes.
- Before-and-after photos uploaded through the Kriib Platform are not publicly displayed and will not be used for marketing purposes without the explicit consent of the property owner or authorized Customer.
You may not post Content that:
- Discloses another person's personal information without consent
- Shows a property interior or identifiable location without proper authorization
- Is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, deceptive, obscene, violent, or illegal
- Violates applicable law
Kriib reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, remove, edit, restrict, or disable access to any Content at any time and for any reason, without notice.
If Content includes personal information, Kriib will process it in accordance with applicable law and its Privacy Policy.
10. Fees and Payment Terms
Kriib may charge fees (and applicable taxes) to Cleaners and Customers for the right to use the Kriib Platform. Any applicable fees are disclosed to Customers before confirming a booking. Except as otherwise provided on the Kriib Platform, service fees are non-refundable. Kriib may modify its fees at any time. Any fee changes will apply only to bookings made after the effective date of the change. If you disagree with a fee change, you may terminate your account in accordance with Section 12.
Payment processing services for Cleaners and Customers on the Kriib Platform are provided by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe") and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the "Stripe Services Agreement"). By agreeing to these Terms or continuing to use the Kriib Platform, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as may be modified by Stripe from time to time.
Kriib acts solely as a limited payment collection agent for Cleaners for the purpose of accepting payments from Customers on behalf of Cleaners. Payment made by a Customer to Kriib shall be considered the same as payment made directly to the Cleaner, and the Cleaner agrees to provide the services as if payment had been received directly. Customer payment obligations are satisfied when Kriib (via Stripe) receives the payment. Kriib is responsible for remitting funds to Cleaners in accordance with these Terms, less any applicable service fees, chargebacks, refunds, or withholdings.
11. Kriib Platform Rules
11.1 Acceptable Use
When using the Kriib Platform, you agree to:
- Act honestly and in good faith
- Provide accurate information
- Treat other users with professionalism and respect
- Comply with all applicable laws
You may not:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against any user
- Create duplicate accounts to evade enforcement of these Terms
- Scrape, crawl, use bots, or otherwise access the Platform through automated means
- Hack, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass security measures
- Damage, interfere with, or impair the proper functioning of the Platform
- Use another user's personal information for purposes unrelated to a booking
- Send unsolicited commercial communications through the Platform
- Circumvent the Platform by requesting or accepting payments outside of Kriib
- Manipulate reviews, rankings, or search results
- Use Kriib's name, logo, or branding without written permission
- Register domain names, social media handles, or other identifiers that are confusingly similar to Kriib
You are responsible for your conduct and for ensuring that any services you offer comply with applicable laws.
Kriib reserves the right to investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.
11.2 Reporting Violations
If you believe that a Member, profile, or Content poses an imminent risk of harm to any person or property, you should immediately contact local authorities before reporting the issue to Kriib.
If you believe that a Member, profile, or Content violates these Terms, applicable law, or Kriib's policies, you may report your concerns to Kriib at [email protected].
If you report an issue to local authorities, Kriib may request a copy of that report.
Except as required by law, Kriib is not obligated to take action in response to any report, but Kriib reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action at its sole discretion.
11.3 Copyright Infringement
Kriib respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Kriib Platform to do the same.
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), Kriib has designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement.
If you believe that content on the Kriib Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification to Kriib's designated agent at:

To be effective under the DMCA, your notification must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit Kriib to locate the material
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
12. Termination, Suspension, and Account Actions
12.1 Term
The agreement between you and Kriib, as reflected by these Terms, becomes effective when you access the Kriib Platform (for example, to create an account) and remains in effect until either you or Kriib terminates the agreement in accordance with these Terms.
12.2 Account Suspension or Deactivation
You may terminate this agreement at any time by sending us an email or by deleting your account. Kriib may terminate this agreement and your account for any reason by providing you 30 days' notice via email or using any other contact information you have provided for your account. Kriib may also terminate this agreement immediately and without notice and stop providing access to the Kriib Platform if you breach these Terms, violate our Additional Legal Terms or Policies, violate applicable laws, or we reasonably believe termination is necessary to protect Kriib, its Members, or third parties. If your account has been inactive for more than two years, we may terminate your account without prior notice.
12.3 Violations
If (i) you breach these Terms, our Additional Legal Terms, Policies, or Standards, (ii) you violate applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights, or (iii) Kriib believes it is reasonably necessary to protect Kriib, its Members, or third parties, Kriib (or its affiliates) may, with or without prior notice:
- Suspend or limit your access to or use of the Kriib Platform and/or your account;
- Suspend, remove, disable access to, or restrict visibility of your profile, reviews, or other content;
- Cancel pending or confirmed bookings; or
- Suspend or revoke any special status associated with your account.
For minor violations or where otherwise appropriate as Kriib (or its affiliates) determines in its sole discretion, you will be given notice of any intended measure and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may appeal actions taken by us under this Section by contacting customer support. If a Reservation is canceled under this Section, the amount paid to the Cleaner may be reduced by the amount refunded or otherwise provided to the customer, as well as by any other costs incurred by Kriib as a result of the cancellation.
12.4 Legal Mandates
Kriib may take any action it determines is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, or the order or request of a court, law enforcement, or other administrative agency or governmental body, including the measures described above in Section 12.3. These actions may include suspending, removing, disabling access to, or restricting visibility of profiles, reviews, or other content; canceling pending or confirmed bookings; or suspending or revoking any special status associated with your account. For minor violations or where otherwise appropriate, you may be given notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may also appeal actions taken under this Section by contacting Kriib's customer support. If a Reservation is canceled under this Section, the amount paid to the Cleaner may be reduced by the amount refunded or otherwise provided to the customer, as well as by any other costs incurred by Kriib as a result of the cancellation.
12.5 Effects of Termination
If you are a Cleaner and terminate your Kriib account, any confirmed bookings will be automatically canceled, and customers will receive a full refund. If you terminate your account as a customer, any confirmed bookings will be automatically canceled, and any refund will depend upon the terms of the cancellation and refund policy. When this agreement has been terminated, you are not entitled to a restoration of your account or any of your Content. If your access to or use of the Kriib Platform has been limited, or your Kriib account has been suspended, or this agreement has been terminated by us, you may not register a new account or access or use the Kriib Platform through an account of another Member.
12.6 Survival
Parts of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, will survive termination of this agreement, including but not limited to Sections 1 through 23.
13. Modifications
Kriib may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will post the revised Terms on the Kriib Platform and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. We will also provide you with notice of any material changes by email, notifications through the Kriib Platform, messaging service, or any other contact method made available by us and selected by you at least 30 days before the date they become effective. If you disagree with the revised Terms, you may terminate this agreement immediately as provided in these Terms. If you do not terminate your agreement before the date the revised Terms become effective, your continued access to or use of the Kriib Platform will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Resolving Complaints and Damage Claims
If a Member believes that another Member caused damage to property or financial loss in connection with a cleaning service, they must notify Kriib within 7 days of the incident and provide reasonable supporting evidence.
Kriib may, but is not obligated to, review the dispute and facilitate communication between the parties.
Kriib does not guarantee compensation and is not an insurer of any Member.
If Kriib determines, in its reasonable discretion, that a Cleaner is responsible for damage or loss arising from a cleaning service, the Cleaner authorizes Kriib (via Stripe) to deduct agreed amounts from current or future payouts.
Members remain primarily responsible for resolving disputes directly with one another.
Kriib reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in repeated, serious, or fraudulent complaints.
15. Kriib's Role and Responsibilities
Kriib provides a platform that enables Members to publish, offer, search for, and book cleaning services. While we strive to ensure a positive experience for all Members, Kriib cannot control the conduct of Cleaners or customers. Members acknowledge that Kriib has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor use of the Platform and verify the information provided by Members. For example, Kriib may review, disable access to, remove, or edit Content to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the Kriib Platform (including for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and customer support purposes);
- Ensure compliance with these Terms;
- Comply with applicable law or the order or requirement of a court, law enforcement, or other administrative agency or governmental body;
- Address Content deemed harmful or objectionable;
- Enforce any quality or eligibility criteria, including by removing profiles or listings that fail to meet such criteria.
Members agree to cooperate in good faith with Kriib, providing information or taking actions reasonably requested by us in connection with any investigation or enforcement of these Terms. Kriib is not acting as an agent for any Member, except where Kriib Payments acts as a collection agent as outlined in the Payments Terms.
16. Member Accounts
You must register an account to access and use many features of the Kriib Platform. Registration is only permitted for legal entities, partnerships, and natural persons who are 18 years or older. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are not barred from using the Kriib Platform under the laws of the United States, your place of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information up-to-date. You may not transfer your account to another person or entity.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and may not disclose your credentials to any third party. You are liable for activities conducted through your account and must notify Kriib immediately if you suspect that your credentials have been lost, stolen, or your account compromised. Kriib may, as permitted by applicable law:
- Request identification or other information to verify your identity;
- Perform checks designed to help verify your identity or background;
- Screen you against third-party databases or other sources and request reports from service providers; and
- Obtain reports from public records of criminal convictions or similar registrations, where applicable.
Kriib reserves the right to limit or suspend access to the Platform based on its findings from these checks or for failure to comply with the requirements above.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Kriib Platform and all Content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Kriib (or its affiliates) disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied. For example: (i) we do not endorse or warrant the existence, conduct, performance, safety, quality, legality, or suitability of any Member, Cleaner, cleaning service, or third party; (ii) we do not warrant the performance or non-interruption of the Kriib Platform; and (iii) we do not warrant that verification, identity, or background checks conducted on Members or services (if any) will identify past misconduct or prevent future misconduct. Any references to a Member or cleaning service being "verified" (or similar language) indicate only that the Member or service has completed a relevant verification or identification process and nothing else. The disclaimers in these Terms apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. If you have statutory rights or warranties Kriib (or its affiliates) cannot disclaim, the duration of any such statutorily required rights or warranties will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
18. Limitations on Liability
Neither Kriib (including its affiliates and personnel) nor any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the Kriib Platform or any Content will be liable for any incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of data or goodwill, service interruption, computer damage or system failure, the cost of substitute products or services, or for any damages for personal or bodily injury or emotional distress arising out of or in connection with:
- These Terms;
- The use of or inability to use the Kriib Platform or any Content;
- Any communications, interactions, or meetings you may have with someone you interact or meet with through, or as a result of, your use of the Kriib Platform; or
- The provision or use of cleaning services.
These limitations apply whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), product liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not Kriib has been informed of the possibility of such damages, even if a limited remedy set out in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
Except for Kriib's obligation to process payments under these Terms, in no event will Kriib's aggregate liability for any claim or dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, your interaction with any Members, or your use of or inability to use the Kriib Platform exceed:
- The total amount you paid as a customer in the 12-month period prior to the event giving rise to the liability; or
- The total amount paid to you as a Cleaner in the 12-month period prior to the event giving rise to the liability; or
- One hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) if no such amounts were paid or received.
These limitations of liability and damages are fundamental elements of the agreement between you and Kriib. If applicable law does not allow the limitations set out in these Terms, the above limitations may not apply to you.
19. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to release, defend (at Kriib's option), indemnify, and hold Kriib (including Kriib Payments, other affiliates, and their personnel) harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your breach of these Terms (including any supplemental or additional terms that apply to a product or feature) or our Additional Legal Terms, Policies, or Standards;
- Your improper use of the Kriib Platform;
- Your interaction with any Member, the provision or receipt of cleaning services, including, without limitation, any injuries, losses, or damages (whether compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential, or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of such interaction or services;
- Your failure, or Kriib's failure at your direction, to accurately report, collect, or remit Taxes; or
- Your breach of any laws, regulations, or third-party rights such as intellectual property or privacy rights.
20. Contracting Parties
If you reside or have your place of establishment in the United States, you are contracting with Kriib, LLC, a Texas limited liability company.
If Kriib forms additional affiliated entities in the future, Kriib may designate the appropriate contracting entity through the Platform.
21. Governing Law and Venue
If you reside or have your place of establishment in the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Except for claims properly brought in small claims court and claims subject to arbitration under Section 22, any judicial proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court located in Bexar County, Texas, unless the parties agree otherwise.
You and Kriib consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
22. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration Agreement
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT PROVIDES THAT YOU AND KRIIB AGREE TO RESOLVE MOST DISPUTES THROUGH BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
This Arbitration Agreement supersedes all prior versions.
22.1 Application
This Arbitration Agreement applies only to users whose country of residence or establishment is the United States.
If you attempt to bring a claim against Kriib in the United States, this Arbitration Agreement will apply to determine threshold issues, including applicability, arbitrability, venue, and governing law.
22.2 Informal Resolution Requirement
Before initiating arbitration, either party must send written notice describing the dispute and allow 30 days to attempt good faith resolution.
The notice must include:
- Name
- Mailing address
- Email associated with the account
- Description of the dispute
- Relief sought
If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may initiate arbitration.
22.3 Agreement to Arbitrate
You and Kriib agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Kriib Platform, or cleaning services ("Disputes") will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, except as provided below.
This Arbitration Agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to determine the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this Arbitration Agreement.
22.4 Small Claims Court Option
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in:
- The county where the user resides, or
- Bexar County, Texas
provided the claim qualifies and remains in small claims court.
22.5 Arbitration Rules and Governing Law
Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect.
If AAA is unavailable, the parties will mutually select another arbitration provider. If they cannot agree, a court may appoint an arbitrator pursuant to the Federal Arbitration Act.
22.6 Location and Procedure
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, arbitration proceedings shall be conducted remotely by video conference (including Zoom or a comparable platform), or, where appropriate, solely on written submissions.
No in-person hearing shall be required unless the arbitrator determines that an in-person proceeding is necessary to ensure fundamental fairness.
If an in-person hearing is required by the arbitrator or by law, the hearing shall take place in a mutually agreed location, or if no agreement is reached, in the county of the claimant's residence.
The arbitrator may resolve dispositive motions and preliminary issues on written submissions without a hearing where appropriate.
22.7 Exceptions to Arbitration
The following are not subject to arbitration:
- Claims involving intellectual property rights
- Requests for emergency injunctive relief
- Individual claims of sexual assault or sexual harassment
- Claims properly brought in small claims court
22.8 Class Action Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Kriib agree that all Disputes must be brought in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, representative, or consolidated proceeding.
The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any class or representative action.
If a court determines that this waiver is unenforceable for a specific claim, that claim will proceed in court while all other arbitrable claims remain in arbitration.
22.9 Jury Trial Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you and Kriib waive the right to a trial by jury for any arbitrable Dispute.
22.10 Fees
Arbitration fees will be allocated in accordance with the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Each party will bear its own attorneys' fees unless otherwise required by law.
22.11 Severability
If any portion of this Arbitration Agreement is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in full force and effect.
22.12 Amendment and Opt-Out
If Kriib amends this Section 22, you may opt out of the amended provision within 30 days of the effective date by sending written notice to:

Your opt-out must include your name, mailing address, account email, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out.
Opting out of an amendment does not revoke prior agreements to arbitrate.
22.13 Survival
This Section 22 survives termination of these Terms and continues to apply even if you stop using the Kriib Platform.
23. Miscellaneous
23.1 Other Terms Incorporated by Reference
Additional policies, guidelines, and supplemental terms that are posted on the Kriib Platform from time to time are incorporated by reference into these Terms and form part of your agreement with Kriib. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any supplemental policy, the supplemental policy will control only to the extent of the conflict.
23.2 Interpreting these Terms
Except as supplemented by additional terms, policies, guidelines, standards, or in-product disclosures, these Terms (including items incorporated by reference) constitute the entire agreement between you and Kriib regarding your access to and use of the Kriib Platform and supersede all prior oral or written agreements or understandings. These Terms do not confer any rights or remedies on any person other than you and Kriib. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Where the word "will" is used in these Terms, it has the same meaning as "shall" and indicates a binding obligation.
23.3 No Waiver
Kriib's failure to enforce any right or provision in these Terms will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision unless acknowledged and agreed to by us in writing. Except as expressly set forth in these Terms, the exercise by either party of any of its remedies under these Terms will be without prejudice to its other remedies under these Terms or otherwise permitted under law.
23.4 Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate this agreement or your rights and obligations hereunder without Kriib's prior written consent. Kriib may without restriction assign, transfer, or delegate this agreement and any rights and obligations hereunder, at its sole discretion, with 30 days' prior notice.
23.5 Notices and Communications
Unless otherwise specified, any notices or other communications permitted or required under these Terms will be provided electronically and delivered by Kriib via email, in-app notification, SMS, or any other contact method you provide to us. You consent to receive communications from Kriib electronically and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. If a notice relates to a booking or transaction, electronic delivery through the Kriib Platform or associated contact methods will constitute effective notice.
23.6 Third-Party Services and Terms
The Kriib Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, services or resources ("Third-Party Services") that are subject to different terms and privacy practices. Kriib is not responsible or liable for any aspect of such Third-Party Services and links to such Third-Party Services are not an endorsement.
23.7 Apple Terms
If you access or download our application from the Apple App Store, you agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Some translations on the Kriib Platform are powered by Apple. Apple disclaims all warranties related to the translations, express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, reliability, and any implied warranties for merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some areas of the Kriib Platform implement Apple Maps mapping services, including Apple Maps API(s). Your use of Apple Maps is subject to the Apple Maps Additional Terms of Service.
23.8 Platform Content
Content made available through the Kriib Platform, including without limitation trademarks, trade dress, inventions, algorithms, computer programs (in source code and object code), customer and marketing information and other content ("Platform Content"), whether registered or unregistered, which may be protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secrets, know-how, and/or other laws of the United States and other countries. You acknowledge that all intellectual property rights for that Platform Content are the exclusive property of Kriib and/or its licensors and agree that you will not remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark, service mark or other proprietary rights notices. You may not use, copy, adapt, modify, prepare derivative works of, distribute, license, sell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, broadcast or otherwise exploit any Platform Content accessed through the Kriib Platform except to the extent you are the legal owner of that Platform Content or as expressly permitted in these Terms. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Kriib grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, revocable, non-transferable license to (i) download and use the Kriib Platform mobile application on your personal device(s); and (ii) access and view the Platform Content made available on or through the Kriib Platform and accessible to you, solely for your personal and non-commercial use.
23.9 Force Majeure
Kriib shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from abnormal or unforeseeable circumstances outside its reasonable control, the consequences of which would have been unavoidable despite all efforts to the contrary, including, but not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, pandemics, epidemics or disease, strikes or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor or materials.
23.10 Email and SMS Communications
You will receive administrative communications from us using the email address or other contact information you provide for your Kriib account. Enrollment in additional email subscription programs will not affect the frequency of these administrative emails, though you should expect to receive additional emails specific to the program(s) to which you have subscribed. You may also receive promotional emails from us. No fee is charged for these promotional emails, but third-party data rates could apply. You can control whether you receive promotional emails using the notification preferences in your account settings. Please note that you will not be able to take advantage of certain promotions if you disable certain communication settings or do not have a Kriib account.
SMS Consent and Messaging Terms
Users who provide their phone number during account creation consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Kriib related to bookings, service updates, cleaner arrival notifications, job completion messages, and account verification. Message frequency varies based on account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Users may opt out at any time by replying STOP and may request assistance by replying HELP.
